Play the hammered dulcimer right on your iPad with your fingers! It's quick and easy to learn and can be used as a real instrument with some practice!

Just tap the strings of this realistic 15/14 hammered dulcimer to listen to it sing. Tap with two fingers to hear the distinct and ethereal sound of a hammer roll. You can toggle between leather and wooden hammers to soften or harden the sound.

Tap on the treble clef in the upper corner to toggle note on and off to help you know what to play.

What's New in Version 1.21

• Fixed string placement
• Universal support for iPhone and iPod Touch
• Fixed string sensitivity issues with multi touch. Users will need to turn off "Roll Gestures" and "Glissade" in settings to use the more responsive version.

Wow! Such a beautiful board, such beautiful sound. I don't know how to play but now I want to learn! I like to just play around with it, making pretty sounds. I think it would be really cool if I could download music to it and have it play like a player piano. This is a QUALITY ap!

What an experience!

While I bought my iPad for photo editing after falling in love with iPhoneography, I'm also a musician and am absolutely stunned by the amazing music-themed apps that keep coming out. I play a little hammered dulcimer and I'm amazed at the sound quality of this app! Like all musical instruments the iPad won't replace the real thing but this app is very realistic, other than it doesn't seem to want to do a glissando type of effect. Other than that little nitpick the app is very responsive. I like having the hammer variations and the notes next to the strings (with the ability to toggle this feature on and off).

Well worth the $3!

Makes Me Smile!!

I wrote the developer requesting this app when I got my iPad, and the result is great! Beautiful sound, and there is just something about the sound of a hammered dulcimer that makes me smile. Now I have to learn a bit more about playing. HUGE fun!!!
